Hello!
I currently use directhow because it is the only one I found that allows to set the values (exposure, whitebalance...). but directhow is very very heavy while the application of windows 10 by default camera stream in full resolution (1080p or 2K) without saturating a core processor and with the maximum fps.

Do you know of an alternative?

Thank you very much for your help!

Sorry for my aproximative English.

What I have tried:

I am currently using directhow on a 1080p or 2K stream with an I5 7600, 8 of ram.
but it is impossible to exceed 12 fps with a 100% saturated core while I set the exposure at -10.

1 solution

Take a look at the Intel IPP library: Intel® Integrated Performance Primitives (Intel® IPP) | Intel® Software[^]
Another interesting product is: Streamcoders MediaSuite[^]

And maybe this light and open source Video Surveillance application: ContaCam[^]

Thank you very much for your time for the answer but after some tests the processor consumption remains very high with the Mediasuite solution.
