Looking for software upgrade server and client solutions.

I'm looking for the solution for upgrading software, like filezilla does. I'm also trying to find out upgrade method which is used with filezilla, however i can not. In fact, I downloaded filezilla source code. But there is no information about server.

It's hard to develop the server and client application in a short term.

Could you tell me that kind of package?? I perfer open source. :laugh:

Solution 1

It's easy to do. Write a bootstrap exe which runs your main exe. This bootstrapper is responsible for downloading any updates, and copying them over the old version.
