Easy or not, but this is a valuable tool (for such a very, very outdated and pretty really very lame thing as GPIB), but unfortunately, we don't have resources to "teach" you.
Frankly, I never met a person who was "taught" using this or similar things. You could be taught or educate yourself in mathematics, fundamentals of computer science, technology, but this… not really the science or something which deserves education. You just take documentation, learn how it works and get into it. All engineers do that, hardly anything else. So, just get to work:
