Yes, you need to handle the WM_SCROLL message. However if you use a standard Windows control, such as Edit or Rich Edit, the scrolling is managed by the control itself. Much depends on the information you wish to display. If it is a mixture of text and images then you may just need a simple Window and handle all the updating and scrolling yourself. Take a look at
