This just started happening last week on two different PCs. Whenever I open a solution either from the recent solutions on Visual Studio's context menu or when I open a solution from Explorer, Visual Studio loads it, then immediately unloads it. I did a Google search and saw no real solutions other than "get the latest update". I have the latest update.

What I have tried:

I have the latest update and I have searched for answers on Google. I have found no better ideas than "get the latest release."

Create a new project then unload it. Then compare projects in a text file. Sounds like VS is not recognizing the others' content. Or projects have been "moved".

1. Do you have multiple versions Visual Studio installed on your system?
2. Did you upgrade the current solution from earlier to newer version of VS?
3. Did you browse and opened the solution file?
4. Is the discussion here about solution file or the csproj? (believe it would be csproj)

What's an error message? The only reason for such of behaviour is that, that project content has been moved into another directory. Open *.?proj file and check the directory...
