Visual studio 2017 - tab close

All opened tabs are closed when i close the Visual Studio. Every time i go to solution explorer and open my pages. In VS2017 and VS2012 i have this problem. Please suggest a way to resolve this. Thanks.

What I have tried:

In VS2010 my all working pages are open when i open the VS IDE.

I never used VS2012, but in VS2017 my tabs were always restored. You need to check your settings in the Options.

Solution 1

By default, Visual Studio keeps track of tab and keep them open on relaunch of VS.

Try to reset your Visual Studio layout to default setting via:

Window -> Reset window layout

Tools ⇒ Options ⇒ Projects and Solutions ⇒ General
Make sure "Reopen documents on solution load" is ticked.
