How to restore a backup SQL server database

I create a vb net project which backup an sql database as bak file with different name do. How can I restore it and keep the backuped name? Any links will be helpfull.

Solution 1

It probably depend on exactly what your VB project does: my version (in C#) is here: Backing up an SQL Database in C#[^] and it also explains some of the pitfalls involved in a restoration.
