This code is from codecanyon. I try to contact the author, but no respond. So I hope someone here can help. Now the app calculate the base delivery fee + the charge per KM. I want to make it if charge per KM is lower than base delivery fee, then base delivery fee will be preferred. If charge per KM lower than base delivery fee, then charge per KM amount will be use for delivery fee. Below are the code.

//update total/order amount summary
updateTotalOrderSummary() async {
//delivery fee
if (!isPickup && deliveryAddress != null) {
//selected delivery address is within range
if (!delievryAddressOutOfRange) {
//vendor charges per km
setBusy(true);
try {
double orderDeliveryFee = await checkoutRequest.orderSummary(
deliveryAddressId: deliveryAddress.id,
vendorId: vendor.id,
);

//adding base fee
checkout.deliveryFee = orderDeliveryFee;
} catch (error) {
if (vendor.chargePerKm != null && vendor.chargePerKm == 1) {
checkout.deliveryFee =
vendor.deliveryFee * deliveryAddress.distance;
} else {
checkout.deliveryFee = vendor.deliveryFee;
}

//adding base fee
checkout.deliveryFee += vendor.baseDeliveryFee;
}
}

//
setBusy(false);
} else {
checkout.deliveryFee = 0.00;
}
} else {
checkout.deliveryFee = 0.00;
}

What I have tried:

//adding base fee
//checkout.deliveryFee += vendor.baseDeliveryFee;
if (checkout.deliveryFee < vendor.baseDeliveryFee) {
checkout.deliveryFee = vendor.baseDeliveryFee;
} else {
checkout.deliveryFee = vendor.deliveryFee * deliveryAddress.distance;

Once you have calculated both fees it is just a matter of comparing the two and using the lower figure.

I see... I try something, if worked, I share it here. Thank you.

While we are more than willing to help those that are stuck, that doesn't mean that we are here to do it all for you! We can't do all the work, you are either getting paid for this, or it's part of your grades and it wouldn't be at all fair for us to do it all for you.

So we need you to do the work, and we will help you when you get stuck. That doesn't mean we will give you a step by step solution you can hand in!
Start by explaining where you are at the moment, and what the next step in the process is. Then tell us what you have tried to get that next step working, and what happened when you did.

If you are having problems getting started at all, then this may help: How to Write Code to Solve a Problem, A Beginner's Guide[^]
