How to generate gender by select combo box MR and mrs for pass gender for database

I have a combo box for select type (Mr and Mrs) I want to generate gender by that combo box . I need to send that value for database. If select Mr value is Male other Female.

What I have tried:

I’m not try anything yet because i am beginner

I'd cancel the whole idea of a "Mr" and "Mrs" box, and provide a "Gender selection" box instead if you must - "Mrs" alone will (understandably) upset some people as it's often seen as harking back to days when wives were effectively chattels owned by a husband. "Miss" implies the same, but with an added overtone of "not married yet". "Ms" is safer, but even then you risk offending non-binary genders such as LGBTQ+

Unless you have a definite requirement for a gender specific prefix, it's probably a good idea not to even include one but use a formal / informal name instead.
