How to work with HTML pages in ECLIPSE

I have created a dynamic web project in eclipse.I want to design simple log in application.For that I have created a simple html page intially.But while i was trying to run on sever it was saying error as requested resourse not found.I wanted to design it in eclipse.As i am new to ECLIPSE please tell me the solution.How to run on local host.For this any any thing i have to configure it like web.xml or port nombers.Please tell me some solution.

Solution 1

Please load HTMLTidy Plugin[^] to get some decent support while working with Eclipse.

Why are you creating a "HTML Page in an application"?
There might be better ways to integrate a log tracking into an application.

actually i have one some sample application.I am running one of the page in it.But
its not running.Thats why i want to know why its coming trying to solve it
