Chat Application with SignalR in asp.net

hello,
i am making a chat application using SignalR. As i am new with it, i have just developed chat application with some common methods of Hub like connect and send which do not interact with database.

i want a domo application with SignalR which interacts with sql server to store messages and userdetails.

please share links regarding this.

I'm also unable to find the solution for this. Please share it with me if you've found the way to connect. In my opinion, SignalR is for sending messages only. We can authenticate users separately and only after that our SignalR chat app will run. I'm not sure about that, as I'm also new to SignalR.
