No I didn't, the first link in the list is titled "How to get the wifi network interface name in java". I don't know what you looked at.

No that is not my search string. If you click on the link you can see that the search string is "wifi name java", which is what I entered originally.

There must be a difference between US and UK results for the same url (see my second reply). I get results for HTML5 and nothing relevant to either java or network name.

Why is the "HTML5" stuff in the url anyhow? Doesn't make sense to me...

I suppose what matters is what the OP sees.

i searched n searched and finally i got it .
i want to develop an android application for mobile and a desktop application for the PC.i want to share the screen of my mobile on the desktop and control my android phone through desktop . for this both i.e mobile and the desktop(PC) should be connected to the same wifi network . any help please ???

So what is the problem? Android phones and Windows PCs can automatically connect to a network. You just need to search Google for some samples and tutorials about communicating through it. You could start at Android home.

the problem is that of sharing android mobile screen on desktop . i am using socket programming in java in this project. there are applications like Airdroid but they give some specific services like gallery, messages etc . but i have to share the screen of mobile as it is on desktop and then control mobile from the desktop .

Fine, but that is not just a matter of a few lines of code. You will need to do a lot of research into how to achieve your goal. There are a number of products available that allow controlling one PC from another so you could see if any open source versions are available that you could use as starting points.
