How to store testcase data into database using .net

I am using .NET framework with vb coding and backend SQL Server 2005. In it, need to store testcases in the database. in software testing, Do the testers
do like this or use excel sheet to store the test cases?

If testers do like store into db using .net. How can i start?

provide if any sample code project/code.

I guess, you are not sure about the requirement. Normally, testers use their own Excel templates for recording the test cases. if you want to design one application for them which store test cases, then what is the problem in it ?
