Application details: asp.net 2.0 ms sql server 2005 IIS 5.0

in server 6 databases are there but our web application accessing all databases except one , for that database sometimes it will show 'some time our web application show error "Cannot open database "databasename" requested by the login. The login failed. Login failed for user 'user''"' error. after some times application will run normally .. give me solution thanks in advance

Since this has nothing to do with programming, maybe asking a DBA would be more help. Did you check the log file for the server? "Login failed..." seems pretty clear to me. Check the credentials for "user" at the time of the failure.

Solution 1

check your server log for debugging the cause.
Your Sql-Server may be crashing because of some reason therefore you get this error.
