Hello Everyone,

can anyone please tell me how to add vertical Toolbar in my SDI Project. I need to add a toolbar in the left side of the App as part of Mainframe.

See the documentation[^] for docking controls.

There are many MFC Toolbar examples here on CodeProject. I suspect you'll find what you need amongst these[^]. If you find something that's almost what you want then the author may be able to help you further. On the other hand if nothing here is even close then perhaps a Vertical Toolbar article is needed, let us know.

Thanks Matthew.... They are useful articles but what I need is simple vertical Toolbar on Left Side of Client area. For Example consider Paint Application. Just like paint I need to add few controls in my application. Please suggest me something.

I seem to remember there's one like that in the Platform SDK sample code somewhere but it's probably been 10 years since I looked at it last. A docked vertical toolbar these days is just a toolbar with the appropriate flags and parameters to be docked on the left and vertical. You don't have to add any functionality to get these things so I suggest following Richard's Solution2.
