export to excel with telrik control

i have a asp grid view with telrik date control as its EditItemTemplate.
when i export it to excel it shows an error as date input not in correct format.
how to add the telrik contol to render the form.

i m getting this error
"Script control 'dateInput' is not a registered script control. Script controls must be registered using RegisterScriptControl() before calling RegisterScriptDescriptors(). "
