What is the difference between using Initial Catalog and Database ? Can anyone explain this, please?

"Data Source=TERMS;Initial Catalog=TERMSUS;User ID=DBADMIN;Password=dbadmin"
"Data Source=TERMS;Database=TERMSUS;User ID=DBADMIN;Password=dbadmin"

Above two explain please. Are they do the same job?
