problem with network, unable to browse workgroup computers

uhm excuse me.. can someone help me on this.. I have pc's on a network but 2 of them are unable to see others on network pane. They can ping the others computers as well access shared folders using run \\ipaddress however the computers are still not visible in the network. I've tried restarting services regarding network such as computer browser, dhcp client, dns client, RPC, workstation
but still no effect.. can someone help me guys?? I think this is the problem why I can't connect to sql server 2008.. thanks to those who will give me an answer ..
