Beginner using TAPI and C#

Hi
As part of a work experience placement I need to look into TAPI and how I can implement it into a basic application to Monitor incoming calls and displaying numbers, as well as dialing out by entering numbers, selecting a contact etc.
Basically I have no experience with this and after looking at examples online, many seem to use different approaches and its quite confusing with no experience in the subject. Was wondering if there was a simple to use step by step guide that will introduce TAPI with C# and undertaking the tasks which I mentioned above?

Was wondering if there was a simple to use step by step guide that will introduce TAPI with C#.

I've never found any "simple" TAPI tutorials.

I've had a read of the suggested article on that post. To be honest I'm still as clueless on the matter as before. This doesn't seem to be a very user friendly thing to program what so ever. I'll continue looking and hopefully find something soon. Thanks though.
