Virtual Mouse using webcam

hey guys,

I am working on virtual mouse using webcam.
The aim of the project is using your index finger you have to make a virtual mouse without touching the computer screen with the help of webcam. It will use the technique of image processing and coding is to be done in open CV, C / C++ or Matlab.
If anyone has any idea, please share.

Johnny Lee did a video on you tube where he tracked fingers using a wii remote on a PC.

You are trying to do the same thing (the wiimote acts just like a webcam).

I think all his source is available on his website, but to start off, see this video.
