How to use PEAR to plot graph dynamically

Hi,

I want to plot a line graph in PHP thru a continuous feed (say every 2 secs). I tried using jpgraph and phpChart. But the jpgraph is very heavy and phpChart in not an open source.
I want to use PEAR. Is it possible to use PEAR to plot a graph as mentioned above. Also I am showing this graph in some part of HTML page. So in order to update that part do I need to use Ajax?
