What are the minimum requirements to host a own web site in our own machine.
i have domain name with me what else i should have to host the web site in my own pc(like internet connection and how to map my pc ip address to the domain name in the DNS services ?).

You need a permanent Internet connection and a fixed IP address.
The provider that registered your domain name should also have the DNS delegation: you can ask him to register the WWW towards your PC address or you can ask to delegate the domain itself to your PC and host the DNS zone yourself (not recommended ... unless you know how to properly manage a DNS!)
Then ,your PC must run at least an HTTP server and give one "content" (files) to it.
At that point you've just got a web 1.0 site.

It depends what type of connection you have and the agreement with your provider. If you are using your home connection, Cable, DSL, etc. most providers prohibit this type of activity.
