I'm having a problem with Visual Studio 2010, whenever I try to create an 'Empty Project' or a resource file, I get the error message 'Automation Server can't Create Object' followed by 'System.runtime.interopservices.COMException' Other projects work fine, I have been unable to find a logical solution on the internet, they are all for XP/VS2002, I have tried to use another user account but to no avail.

Read the Microsoft Support Page and try the resolution techniques - Error message in Visual Studio: "Automation server can't create object"[^].

I've already seen this hundreds of times
1: I'm using Windows 7, that article applies to XP/2000
2: That article isn't even listed to apply to VS2010
Then I would suggest you to ask a query to Microsoft Support Team. They will help you in this regard.

I can't contact the Microsoft Support team as they want $350 I just don't have to send me an email, the most I could do was contact the normal email enquiry service, I have yet to see if they can do anything for me, hopefully I can get a support ticket.
Yes mail them about the issue.
