i'am working on leave management system.i want to create a application form that when employee apply leave, an alert email will be send to manager that inform this staff have apply leave and need approval. so the manager need to check on system to approve the leave application. i don't know how to create alert email from windows form. can anyone help me. how i want to create an alert email that automatically will be send to manager email using vb.net when staff apply leave?

thank u Ron Beyer. I have tried the codes but it can only show sent from gmail mbut does not get to destination any suggestions
