how to host an only html site on local iis

when i map my asp.net web site on my system on iis it works fine but when i map an html website on my system iis it give error ....
"HTTP Error 500.19 - Internal Server Error
The requested page cannot be accessed because the related configuration data for the page is invalid."

why this ?

Solution 1

Assuming you are running a .Net 4 site, the machine.config will already have defined the scriptResourceHandler. Remove this section from the web.config and you should be fine.

waht u saying bro my asp.net application working properly , and problem occour when i host an html site on local IIS .. it gives error as i told in problem , and there is no config in html , to which i will remove ............ ?
