How to display data from database in textbox when you click ON BUTTON WPF MVVM?

I have a few textbox and I want to display records from database in that textbox when i click on button. How do I do that in MVVM WPF?
Please novice and I need a simple example.

do you want to know how to retrieve records from the DB then display them or you already retrieved the records and wants to know how to display them?
