Visual Studio 2012 Express question

I just installed Visual Studio 2012 Express and tried to start a new project using WPF PageFunction. I get a message telling me that PageFunction is not supported. Designer fails but the project still compiles and executer OK. However, Visual Studio 2010 Express designer works, compiles, and executes OK. What am I missing?

install all updates using windows update and the check for updates option in visual studio, then restart visual studio, if that feels reboot your computer
