i want to made a computer server and another computer client those are inter connected through LAN.i want to install sql server 2008R2 in the server and install the set-up file in the client machine and the applicaion in the clinet machine can access the sql server through LAN.

how do i do that process??? please help

if the the two machine is windows xp then what to do or if the two machine is windows7 then what to do or one machine is xp and another is 7 then what to do..

plese hep me

The machine where you have SQL Server installed will become the server.

ok its fine but how will my application will communicate with the sql server of other machine through LAN
