i am new here, so.. hi together!:-)

my question:

i want to drag and drop an email attachment (eg. a pdf) directly from outlook in my application.

problem is: i dont know really what i am receiving: i read that i am receiving only an istream object (not a file), is this true?

if yes, how can i than again rebuild for example a pdf?

or does anyone know how to do it?

ps: if i first drop it on the desktop and than drop it in my application, everything works fine...

I'd suggest you to read this article on MSDN: Drag and Drop (OLE)[^]. There you'll find an information about OLE and non-Ole applications. MS Office applications like Outllok, Word, Excel and PowerPoint use OLE mechanism to share data between them.
