What would be the best approach for this mobile app?

Hi all,
I need to develop a mobile app which would take care of seat booking and will also be involved in online payments. I need the application to be platform independent (as much as possible). I have no prior experience in mobile app development.

Can you please suggest me the best and most efficient possible approach in terms of developing the application.

Only a mobile app.
Its more like we have a website for the booking. I would like to develop a mobile app for the users to facilitate the booking experience.

Sorry, but I am totally new to mobile app developement. I dont really know the difference between the two. But I need to develope something like the 'flight ticket booking' or the 'movie ticket booking' apps that we have right now in the market. Functionality and stability of the app is prime.

The first thing you need to do is to learn mobile development. Go to http://developer.android.com/index.html[^] for Android, http://dev.windowsphone.com/en-us[^] for Windows phone, https://developer.apple.com/[^] for iPhone. Once you are familiar with all of those systems you can start thinking about the practicalities of your application.
