i have sql server r2 2008 on my pc dawnloaded from sites and it's working will for some months
yesterday when iam trying to open it message appear says evaluation period has expired ,
after search i found that i must upgrade it but what i got that i should purchase the sql
i can not purchase it did any one have any idea how can i fix this error without purchasing sql ?

Switch to SQL Server Express - it is free and contains much of the functionality of the paid-for version

Sql Server Express is limited to 10 GB of database size.
If you need to store large data, move to sql server standard edition.

no way to make sql server 2008 r2 work without installing standared ?
i mean no way to edit in registry which can make it work ?

ok , what i get from your answer is upgrade sql server to standard edition ,
first i don not purchase sql server so the source of evaluation sql i just go to setup .exe file from maintaince do upgrade as i do not have a serial key iam doing the upgrade to free edition is this right? as it 's stop suddlent and analysis service upgrade faild
what can i do to move to standard as i don not have a purchased serial key

sql is running and working did you have any idea about this as iam new
