filling a form with more values in a table than in a gridview

How do you fill a form with values say 40 values from a table which has say 10 of the fields in the the gridview.

Noting that a gridview can only contain a certain number of fields (i.e. physical limitation) on
a form.

In short how do you get the remaining fields to fill the values on the form which has a certain portion of the the fields of the the table in the gridview

If you have to insert and modify a large number of data that Gridview can't have at one time then please create new page for insertion and modification of data using appropriate controls like textbox, dropdownlist. You can use Gridview for displaying some data and also add custom edit button in gridview which will navigate user to new page for modification of selected record..
