crystal report is not showing one column in group expert

Im using crystal reports with visual studio 2010 and sql server 2008
I've major problem in grouping data
i.e.
Whenever we click on group expert All columns are visible in group expert but in my case name column which I'm using to group data is not visible in group expert...
I've tried binding of stored procedure and view
please tell me how to fix it...

Solution 1

The problem Was Column Name's DataType was varchar (max)
In crystal Report If U want to do Group then It Should have Fix Size of DataType it can be of varchar(1000) but it should not varchar(max)
