am new to universal app development, can any one just tell wheather i can use windows7 OS for universal development apps or should i use that with windows8 version??, i have installed windows7 sp1 package but could able to install universal development tools.. please help me out...

i have 2013 installed in my system but it is asking for visual studio 2013 update2 for store app templates. http://www.visualstudio.com/en-us/downloads#d-express-windows-8 i had referred this link but it is asking for windows newer version, what can i do now..???

You have no choice, you must install the update, if that is what it is asking for.
