when i try to update data via link server then it gives me error like below

OLE DB provider "SQLNCLI11" for linked server returned message "The transaction manager has disabled its support for remote/network transactions."

The operation could not be performed because OLE DB provider "SQLNCLI11" for linked server was unable to begin a distributed transaction.

please let me know if i have to any change or follow steps for it.

thanks..

You need to change the configuration of the DTC service on the local and remote servers:

You might need to reboot the server for the changes to take effect.

Other than that, assuming your servers are behind a secure firewall, it shouldn't cause any problems.

If in doubt, talk to your network administrator.
