Cascading dropdown in user control

I wanted to create cascading dropdown in user control, EQ. Country and State

I have event handler defined in the parent page to handle the Country dropdown selected index change event and get the selected country. Based on the selected country, I'm fetching the States from the DB.

Problem:
How can I bind the fetched data to the States dropdown from the parent page?
