how to browse & open excel file inside web browser using asp.net?

Hi,
I want to browse & open excel file inside web application in sanme window, & also want to edit it. how it is possible by using C# asp.net?.
Any help would be great.

To edit any file type - including those of Excel - you need supporting application. A browser - any for that matter - not able to open and understand other files than those with html content...
The reason you able to open Excel files from different sites is that you have some office (Ms, Open Libre) application installed on your computer and the browser can find that application based on the mime type of the file.
In most cases that application can not be hosted inside the browser and will be open your file in a new window. Even with application (like pdf readers) that can be hosted inside the browser, that behavior can be controlled by the user and you can't do about it nothing...
There are different companies offering controls to edit such content without the original application - you can use Google to find them and examine them...
Not that means you also can develop such control - it's only a matter of time and knowledge...
