hi all ,

i am using ms access as data base ..i want to put password for it ..in data base tool there is an option for " set data base password " but its disabled ..how can i enable that to put password .

DON'T SHOUT!
Using all uppercase is counted as shouting on the internet, and rude (all lower case is taken as lazy or childish). Use proper capitalisation if you want to be taken seriously.

This has nothing to do with VB6 or programming. Go read the documentation for whatever version of Access that you are using.

open access (not the database you want yet), then go to the office menu button to open an access database, when you navigate to the folder its in, before clicking open there should be a drop down somewhere by the open button where you can select to "Open Exclusive". Try that.

thanks all i found the solution...it should need to save as data base 2007
