read write sectors from usb in protected mode(x86)

Hi,
All I was trying to write was a bootloader that switches from real mode to protected mode(x86). Now, I want to read/write to USB disk without using BIOS interrupts.
Could you please point me to some of the tutorials or articles that could help me in this regards.
