Iframe loading Refreshes session

I'm dynamically loading a 3rd party application inside my page through an iframe. After the iframe gets loaded - The session gets refreshed and i lose all my session data. I debugged and found that a new session id is created post loading of iFrame. I 've tried the same in Firefox , Chrome and IE 8.0
The application i'm using is .net 1.1 and visual web developer 2003 Language is VB.
Any help would be appreciated . Thanks
