how can i make sure a user does not log in twice on a winform application

Hi,
i am building a windows forms application for a school register where the student can clock in with a pin, but i need a way of making sure they do not clock in twice in a day. Please how do i go about this, thanks

Solution 1

When they clock in you must be recording an ID, Date and Time, and direction (IN / OUT)?

When clocking in, check their previous entry was OUT or does not exist. When Clocking out, check their previous entry was IN or does not exist.
