Not sure where the 'some Brits are unhappy' part comes from. I'm sure there are some Royalist nuts that are, but there are a lot of Americans Royalist too that I assume will be equally unhappy. It's an antiquated protocol anyway so I don't think most people care.
I searched this story, as I hadn't heard it or even know who LeBron was till I see your post and the British Press seem to be reporting Kates awkwardness[^], but I see no outrage from the press and if there was any it would definitely be them orchestrating it.

Well that was sort of my point, if there was outrage then I would have expected to see the article I linked to 'hyping' that, but there was nothing. Just saying that Kate looked awkward. And if the Press aren't even mildly outraged then the Public aren't going to be.
Perhaps all the outrage is on Facebook, I hear the phrase "Everbody's outraged on Facebook" quite a lot.

Why would you edit it? I was just pointing out I don't think it's a big deal over here. I remember a few years back George W Bush put his arm around the Queen - A thing was made of it then and I remember thinking it was strange, although I probably wouldn't touch the Queen if I met her out of a weird respect thing.

Oh alright, I assumed you were implying that I was assuming that some Brits were upset and that I was wrong in that. Either way, I understand what you are saying. And I am sure most Brits don't care. That said, I am surprised at the list of people they are meeting. I understand LeBron, he's the best basketball player in this country. But apparently they also met Jay Z and Beyoncé - I can't see a single reason why they'd have wanted to do that.

Finally decided that BF&V was the solution, and attacked it with screwdrivers, plumbing pliers, and not a small amount of violence (given that Epson appear to me able to do up screws which are under solid plastic it was necessary).
Result: new printer, and a wedding ring found. And a two inch steel "S" hook, a camera memory card and a small amount of change. How did the printer work? Very well, actually....
