That is the best way to articulate this argument, that if it's not something that would be expected to be public knowledge, then the cops should need a warrant to get it. Period. If they had reason to suspect a drug smuggler, they should have enough to get a warrant.
It really pisses me off.

they got two court orders allowing them to ping the phones. the phones respond to these pings with their GPS data.

The UI apparently is not too mouse friendly, so will take longer to get things done, so really do not need the performance.

Good news for those who plan to spend the majority of their career rebooting their machine .
Word of warning Windows ME also booted faster.
Also I have to question the Windows 8 release as win 7 is fairly new , and also can microsoft look me in the eye honestly and tell me why the small trivial features added to win 8 (and all the incompatabilities to come) actually warranted a brand new operating system
