What is the best latest java framework and GUI builder we can use to develop a simple online word game?

Our group of 5 members are asked to create a simple countdown word game only using java . Does any one know a better java framework and a GUI builder to develop our game ?

What I have tried:

One member suggest “vaadin” to design GUI but there’s css within it

Solution 1

You can develop Java using a simple text editor such as Notepad, Microsoft's Visual Studio Code[^], the eclipse IDE[^], etc. The 'best' one, is whichever you decide works best for your requirements.
