Get list of installed windows components

I am tring to get installed windows components eg IIS . So far im only able to get the list of installed softwares including MS software updates using:

Microsoft.Win32;
and registry entry
SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall

Is there any registry entry or any other way to get windows components?
Please help

Solution 1

I would look to WMI for that info. The registry could hold entries that are no longer used, and is therefore unreliable.
