Hi.

I have a router and several computers connected to it. Router does not have an ability to limit bandwidth for connected computers. I need an application which can limit bandwidth for each PC. For example I have a server part installed on my PC and clients on others and using server I set bandwidth for other computers with cliend part installed. I know to ho implement communitation between 2 computers but I do not know how to limit bandwidth. There are programs like NetBalancer but I need my own. I found a lot of examples how to limit bandwidth for one application but I need a 'global' limit for entire PC.

I appreciate any help.

What I have tried:

I need an example or an idea how to implement it before trying anything.

Generally you don't limit the bandwidth in a LAN environment, limiting only makes sense when you have limit external resources like the internet etc.

For the internet use case if your router does not have the functionality try installing a firewall which has and you can control the bandwidth/time/total bytes etc. per user/computer.
