i'm trying to open attachments in browser by using Hyper link. if the filename of the attachment contain "#" at that time browser throwing an error HTTP Error 404.0-Not Found

What I have tried:

I have tried with the urlencode function in my vb.net code but still im facing the same problem.

UrlEncode the path to the attachment when you render it. Given you have supplied no code at all we can't tell you how\where to do this.

While the # symbol may be allowed as part of a filename, it is a special character when it comes to a URI, and signifies a resource fragment.
You will need to read up on this and may need to adjust or compensate for this

As you can see # has special meaning in URL - you must look to a way to avoid it...
