Consuming Custom Generated WSDL

Hi,

Our Data Architect Created Custom WSDL and now I'm in a great chaos how to consume or refer WSDL methods from my Client application without .asmx file.

Can any one help on this?

Solution 1

You just need to add a web reference: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms583494.aspx[^] or a service reference, depending on the framework version you're using:

Thanks for your solution.But I didn't find solution to my problem. Your's helps obviously to refer .asmx extension files but how to do refer direct WSDL file that was provided by somebody who don't want to expose their mehods and parameters in the .asmx file.

Just provide the url of the WSDL in the wizard. It should work unless there's a problem with the format of the file.
