To display the text distintly in Status Bar for MFC Application

Hi All,

I am working on Tabbed Document Interface Application using the MFC Feature Pack, In my requirement some text had to be displayed in the status bar, which is though displayed but very feeble (light) considering the skin/surface color of the application.
Is there a way to implement/change the background color in a specific pane
Example in Pane 2 in the Status Bar to reflect the text distinctly on the foreground.
I have tried SetBackgroundColor, Settextcolor but to no avail, the Text displayed in the status bar is very Feeble(light).
Please suggest how to resolve the above problem.
