Hello,

I would like to know if i have the Microsoft.NET framework on my computer.
I am using Windows XP professional. I have Service Pack 3.

I looked into the registry editor, just like Google told me to.
All i found is this:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT
HKEY_CURRENT_USER
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
HKEY_USERS
HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG

Does that mean i have to install .NET framework on my computer.
If yes, i can Google how to do that but, pointers would be nice :) eg: which version to install, a reliable link i can go to,...

Thank you for your help.

Regards,

Herve

Go to your Control Panel -> Add Remove Programs and see if you have .net in the list of programs.

Always convert url to Hyperlink to give better readability as well as accessibility.
Usually, .NET SDKs are installed at folder: C:\Program Files\Microsoft SDKs for RIA Services, Silverlight, Windows, etc. Redistribution, Interoperability, ADO, etc are available at C:\Program Files\Microsoft.NET

On browsing these folders, you can get the installed .NET components in layman perspective.
